Many times for various reasons churches, like families and other organizations, get stuck. When difficulties and disagreements arise that are beyond the church to resolve in a constructive way, it is wise to bring in an objective perspective that allows for growth, and for the real issues to be addressed in a proactive and constructive manner.
Dealing with these matters in a Biblically and spiritually sensitive manner is key in helping churches refocus on the primary goals and needs of the church. This helps the church grow in maturity together, and ultimately bring glory to God.
This service is provided by Dr. Bailey personally. He brings to the local church a true gift of discernment, and years of experience as a consultant to businesses, government agencies, national and international church organizations, and local churches large and small. His hands on approach, integrates systems theory and organizational psychology, to each churches unique situation.
Each intervention is unique and specific to that local church. It generally involves interviews with all church staff, review of history and polity of the church, and a congregational survey if necessary. Parameters of confidentiality and scope and intent of the service are clearly understood prior to beginning the process. Each person and church involved in this aspect of redemptive exploration should be lead by the Lord to do so. Then each person and church is asked only to be as open and honest as they know how to be, and to be in earnest prayer that God's will would truly be revealed and followed. Egos will be asked to be checked at the door and/or laid at the alter. Easier said than done, but part of the growth process.
This service includes church conflict resolution and program analysis. It is a thorough and professional intervention that allows churches to overcome current blocks to growth, in order to go to the next level of ministry as defined by them. It is also a service that can help avoid or resolve potential church splits. Whether it is ongoing power plays of an overt or covert nature, or enmeshed personalities and traditions that must be tenderly yet firmly addressed, it is generally best to address these matters as quickly as possible, in order for healthy Kingdom Building Work to go on. Dr. Bailey provides an objective and Biblically based approach and service that results in specific recommendations that are not always easily expressed or formulated by churches that may find it difficult to step back and see unintentional blocks that limit seeing what is truly best for the church at large.
Friend, if your church is mature enough to be aware of these problems and the need for outside help to overcome the problem, and is ready for a real change, you've got a good church that is ready for God's best. Our prayer is that you go to the next level in service to Him.
