StarBridge Christian Center, located at 18810 Highway 100 in Wildwood, MO (63069), will host two workshops to serve the local home education and small business communities.
On Tuesday, September 7, from 7 to 9 p.m., the "Writing for College" workshop will help home educating parents and students prepare for for college admissions and classes, including essay writing for college applications and scholarships, college-level writing and research, handling secular literature study, and study habits and strategies for effective writing. On Tuesday, September 21, from 7 to 9 p.m., the "Online Marketing for Small Business" workshop will help small business owners and leaders find the most effective and affordable way to reach people online. From basic websites and blogging to Twitter, Google ad words, and Facebook, this workshop will help small businesses choose the right fit for online marketing, get the basics of web writing and site design, and create a step-by-step strategy for getting started and maintaining an online presence quickly and affordably. Both workshops will be led by Annie Mueller, a home school graduate who is now a mom of 3 and a professional writer specializing in education and small business solutions. Annie has developed curriculum, taught writing classes, and written for small businesses, marketing firms, and major websites including BrightHub.com, ModernMom.com, and the Shine blog on Yahoo.com.
